The Office of Management and Budget, under yesterday’s direction from the White House, will temporarily halt spending on new IT contracts, conduct a detailed review of federal IT projects, and likely will create new rules on federal IT acquisition and spending, reports InformationWeek in an article published today. The article says the move puts a temporary pause on more than $3 billion on annual financial systems spending.
